How am I feeling?
Overall, I feel pretty good lately. The biggest problems right now are that I've developed a little carpel tunnel syndrome in my left hand and some mild/manageable swelling in my feet. I go to sleep about 8 or 8:30 every evening and wake up at 3 am EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Sometimes I can go back to sleep, sometimes I can't, but I'm usually up for about an hour. Also, I can still get into Preston's truck, but I can't reach the door to close it so he has to do that part for me.
Movement
Charlie is moving more than ever. Preston and I have started reading stories and talking to him and he just rolls and wiggles while we talk.
Cravings
I seem to be eating a lot of wheat and cheese, but I don't feel like I am particularly craving either. The newest items on the craving list are plums, and cottage cheese with grapes and granola. Apples and cheese cubes are still at the top of the list. I want, want, want artichoke spinach dip from Auntie Pasta's, although I haven't had any in a week. Probably tonight. :)
Sleep
Until now, I had no problems sleeping on my left side. But recently, my left hand has been falling asleep during the night and tingling throughout the day. It's pregnancy carpel tunnel syndrome! I've switched to sleeping on my back, with a slight tilt to the left (to keep some pressure off my lower back), a pillow under my knees and two pillows under my feet (to keep my feet elevated so they swell less), and one or two regular pillows along with a Luna Lullaby pillow at my head (so my neck/shoulders don't get sore and so I can breath!). Sometimes, my left leg will fall off the pillow, so I added a pillow to the left side just in case. And last night, I used a new pillow to prop up my left hand.
I call this my pillow nest. And yes, it's eight pillows.
Awkward Moments
I've gone to the school cafeteria a few times lately to get some fruit and a bagel, or two, for breakfast. One time, I asked the woman working at the fruit counter to hand me one of the bananas she was using to make smoothies. She looked at me funny, I assume, because there was a whole pile of bananas in a fruit display right behind me, but they were on the bottom shelf and I would have had to bend over to get one, but she gave me one of her bananas and didn't say anything. The next time I was there, she walked by me and said, "Oh! You're pregnant!" And then started talking to me about pregnancy and babies moving and how you try to get your husband to feel, but then the baby stops moving, etc. It was a perfectly nice conversation, when you think about the other things strangers might say.
What made it awkward was that up until that moment, I didn't realize she spoke English, because she didn't say anything the last time I spoke to her. So, she was speaking to me in English, and pantomiming to make sure I understood what she was saying, I guess because she was self conscious about her English. This is fine, until you think about what you have to do to pantomime information about pregnancy. :)
Also, the woman that works at the Starbucks on campus will reach across the counter and feel on my stomach for an extended period of time. It's a little weird!!

People can sure be weird to pregnant women. I remember some stories other mommies-to-be told me. What is it about pregnancy that brings out the crazies?
Glad to hear things are going well with you and Charlie. That's some sleep schedule you've got! :)
Not looking forward to strangers reaching out and touching me. Glad you're feeling well. Time has really gone by so quickly!
