Moncong!
Preston and I stopped at the fish market on our way back from Hanalei. It is just a little counter in the back of a shopping center. We bought a fish called Moncong, which we had never heard of before. I was intrigued by the description, which was “mild, sweet and fluffy.” We also bought some scallops and seasoned them with a spicy “Aloha rub.” Preston was in charge of grilling the fish while I pan seared the scallops and a yam/eggplant medley. My mom helped chop vegetables for the salad and mango salsa while giving me cooking tips over her shoulder. I think she was scared that I wa
