During the month of January, I have schedule some kind of physical fitness activity everyday. This sounds like a lot, considering I was sick the entire month of December. I've got personal training sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday and a foundations yoga class on Tuesday and Thursday. AND perhaps a prenatal yoga class starting next week on Monday mornings.
I've been going to the trainer for a few months and it has been very helpful. I've never been the biggest practicer of yoga, but I could always do the really basic stuff. Let me tell you, yoga while you're pregnant is soooo different. Child's pose? NOT comfortable. But it was helpful and I think will be more helpful once I learn more and get used to it.
Now I just need to start swimming again. People keep saying that it feels good to get in a pool because you feel weightless. But all I remember from the one time I tried to swim laps while pregnant was not being able to breath and feeling light headed, and of course, disappointment that I had trouble with my favorite workout method. I'm going to get myself a big ol' pregnant speedo and commandeer a kick board and see what happens.
