1. I want to share how sick I am with other people.
2. I can't taste anything.
3. I can't smell anything. I have no idea when Charlie poops because I can't smell it.
4. I blew my nose and got vertigo.
5. I even got an ear infection - like a little kid.

The time I actually considered peeing my pants on purpose.
Charlie preformed like a champ this weekend during a three hour drive. He slept for the first two hours. Of course when he does this, I realize that I'm hungry, like the kind of hungry where your stomach hurts. So that for thirty minutes, all I was thinking was how I was hungry and that surely Charlie would wake up soon.
He didn't.
So after that first thirty minutes, I realize that I kind of have to pee. And I'm now thinking that surely Charlie will wake up soon and I can eat and pee then. So I just keep driving because I'm counting on this scenario.
He didn't wake up.
So two hours in to the three hour car trip, I stop at Jack in the box for a potty break and a fajita pita. I have to wake him. WAKE UP MY SLEEPING BABY WHO IS ASLEEP IN THE CAR, with one hour left in the trip.
So for the next hour, I handed Charlie a toy from my big bag of toys, and he played with it for a little while and then threw it across the car. Then I would hold another toy over his head (Keep in mind that he is in a carseat, facing backwards, in the middle of my back seat), he would take the next toy and repeat. I did this for the whole hour.
But you know what? He didn't cry! So that's a win. But you know, if he had cried for that whole hour, I think maybe I would consider just peeing my pants in the future.
He didn't.

Scarf Hoarding - I'm realizing its a problem.
Living in East Texas, there are not a lot of opportunities to wear scarves. Mainly, because its ALWAYS hot. And when it's not hot, it's only slightly cool, and most people aren't wearing scarves, so if you wear one, you become "that girl", the one who is wearing winter clothes when everyone else is still wearing shorts.
Even though I know this, I can't help myself. I love scarves. I fall in love with scarves on the rack, I twist them around my fingers and dress them around my neck and pose in the store mirror and I just KNOW this is the scarf I need.
I do this so often that I don't allow myself to buy scarves anymore. Unless, of course, there is a special circumstance. Like when I was in Paris and found a million awesome scarves at low prices and so had to buy all of them because when is that going to happen again?? And aren't scarves a Paris THING?
They are.
Even when I try to purge scarves from my collection, I struggle. Each one has a memory associated with it, a distinct reason why I should keep it forever and never throw it away. I bought it in Paris. My mom gave it to me and I have matching gloves. My mother in law bought it for me in Turkey.
I feel like one day, Preston's grandmother is going to ask me about that scarf she gave me with my initial on it five years ago and why I haven't worn it - when in reality, she probably doesn't remember giving it to me. (I actually threw this one out, and yet, I'm still thinking about it.)
It's possible that I do this same thing with earrings and necklaces and bracelets because, well, someday, the perfect outfit will come along for each piece of jewelry and I will be glad I kept it all these years.
So it is actually accessory hoarding, not just scarves.
This week, I'm challenging myself to purge five pieces of jewelry and to wear an outfit with a scarf twice.
Do y'all hoard jewelry too? Am I the only one!!?? Please say I'm not!

Charlie and Olivia went to a movie, where Charlie yawned really loudly and streached his arms and one of them ended up around her shoulder.
Charlie, don't sit on Olivia!
Oh no, Charlie! Don't hit Olivia!
Oh no, Char– Oh.
AAAWWWW.
How sweet!
But it only lasted for a second.
Then this happened.
And this.
And Charlie lived happily ever after with Brown Pony and Mommy's Boots.
